Fort Folly Habitat Recovery Program

The Fort Folly Habitat Recovery Program is focused on restoring traditionally important species and their habitats, especially the critically endangered inner Bay of Fundy Atlantic salmon. Background: The program was initiated in 1993, focusing mainly on restoration projects surrounding local environmental issues. These included the restoration of local streams such as the Back Brook Dam in Dorchester,  cleaning up of illegal dump sites around the local community and construction of nesting boxes for various bird species.

Rural Health Action Group

The Rural Health Action Group is a subcommittee of the Memramcook-Tantramar Community Task Force. The Community Task Force was established in 2020 to build on emergency services to residents in need, provided under the former Tantramar COVID Task Force. The Rural Health Action Group was added to the Taskforce with the mandate to better address the future of the Sackville Memorial Hospital and rural health care in the Memramcook-Tantramar region.

Welcome to the Tantramar Outdoor Club !

Year-round outdoor activities have always been a central purpose of the TOC. But the beating heart of the group is the embrace of winter and the bounty of snow which provides cross-country skiing and snowshoeing opportunities over the winter months. Our hope is that we leave the surrounding environments which we traverse as pristine as possible.
