Wood Point: Where the Land Meets the Bay

Wood Point, a coastal community in Tantramar, stretches along Route 935 with sweeping views of the Bay of Fundy and its legendary tides. The area is known for its rugged beauty—salt marshes, red sandstone cliffs, and windswept fields that tell the story of centuries of geological and human history.
Historically, Wood Point was home to early Acadian settlers and later became an important agricultural and shipbuilding hub. The land, rich with fertile soil, supported generations of farming families, while the bay provided a connection to broader trade routes. While shipbuilding has faded into history, farming remains a way of life for many residents, and the natural surroundings continue to inspire artists, writers, and nature lovers.
Today, Wood Point is a quiet, close-knit community where residents value the slow pace and stunning scenery. It’s a place where you can take in breathtaking sunsets over the water, walk through fields that stretch to the horizon, and feel a deep connection to the land. Just a short drive from Sackville, Wood Point offers the best of both worlds—peaceful rural living with easy access to town amenities.
With its rich history, strong sense of place, and unspoiled landscapes, Wood Point is more than just a dot on the map; it’s a testament to the enduring relationship between land, sea, and community.
