Tantramar has a wide range of fields and courts to keep serious and casual athletes alike active and connected. From community parks to Mount Allison University’s top-notch athletic facilities, our region offers well-maintained spaces for organized leagues, school teams, and casual games alike. 

Baseball and softball fields

  • Chester Cole Memorial Baseball Field- Located on Dufferin Street in Sackville, this field serves as a hub for local baseball activities and is used by the Sackville Minor Baseball Association and the Sackville and Area Mixed Slo-Pitch League.
  • Dorchester Ball Field- Also well used by Minor Baseball and Slo-pitch, this field is located at the end of Raceway Road in Dorchester.
  • Little League Field- A busy spot every night of the week, this field is used by players up to the 13U age group.
  • Salem Field- A nice complementary field behind Salem Elementary School, this space used by the youngest players Minor Baseball has in their program.

Soccer, football, and rugby fields

  • Park Street Field- Managed by Mount Allison University, this field hosts various soccer events and is available for community use.
  • Alumni Field- Situated on the Mount Allison University campus, Alumni Field is the home ground for the Mount Allison Mounties football team and accommodates other community football activities.
  • Rectory Lane Field- Also owned and managed by Mount Allison University, this field is home to several intramural activities and is open to community use.
  • Lorne Street Soccer Field- Owned and maintained by the municipality, this field hosts soccer, football, rugby and ultimate frisbee.
  • Tantramar Regional High School Fields- Home of the Titans, soccer and football dominate these fields three seasons of the year.

Tennis and pickleball courts

  • Bill Johnstone Memorial Park- This park in Sackville features four outdoor pickleball courts, established with the support of the Tantramar Pickleball Group. Public tennis courts are also available and can be reserved by contacting the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre at 506-364-4955. 

Basketball courts

  • McCormack Gymnasium- Located within the Mount Allison Athletic Centre, this gymnasium serves as a venue for indoor basketball games and practices.
  • Bill Johnstone Memorial Park Outdoor Court- Try your skills on our asphalt court, open to anyone who has a ball!

Disc Golf

  • Located at Beech Hill Park, this free 18-hole disc golf course is considered one of the best, and one of the most challenging in the Maritimes.  Home to drop-in play ever Sunday afternoon and several tournaments throughout the year, give it a try anytime!  We even have discs you can borrow free of charge by calling 506-364-4955!

Sackville Skatepark

  • The Sackville Skatepark, located on Dufferin Street, is a compact but well-designed park features ramps, rails, ledges, and quarter pipes. It’s perfect for practicing tricks, meeting other skaters, and enjoying the flow of a dedicated space built for boarding. It’s open to skateboards, scooters, and BMX bikes, and it’s a popular hangout for local youth throughout the warmer months.
  • As always, riders are encouraged to wear helmets, be respectful of pedestrians, and follow local bylaws when skating in public spaces.

Mount Allison University facilities

  • Athletic Centre—Houses a gymnasium, swimming pool, weight room, and other fitness facilities.
  • Alumni Field—A multi-purpose field used for football and other outdoor sports.
  • Park Street Field—Another field managed by the university, utilized for various sports activities.
