Janet Crawford started organizing art exhibitions in her hometown of Sackville, New Brunswick. In the beginning these exhibitions were housed in a small restaurant on the edge of town. This arrangement was perfect as Janet was very much involved in raising two children – both under the age of 3 years old. That was in 1984. By 1985 the gallery had a name and a mission. Fog Forest Gallery would be dedicated to the exhibition and sale of original artworks by Canadian artists and artisans.
Since that time, the Gallery has developed into one of the finest small private galleries in Atlantic Canada. Original artworks by painters, printmakers, photographers, sculptors, Inuit stone carvers and artisans are presented year round in monthly solo, group or themed exhibitions.
