Welcome to Tantramar, Mount Allison students!

Each fall, Sackville (a Tantramar community) eagerly welcomes Mount Allison University students, bringing fresh energy, enthusiasm, and youthful vigour to our community. Students are at the heart of life here, contributing to volunteerism, cultural events, and local initiatives that make Sackville and Tantramar a truly special place to live.

Your home away from home

For most students, Sackville becomes more than just a university town—it becomes home. You’ll quickly find yourself making lifelong friends, exploring the stunning natural surroundings, engaging with the community, and building truly lasting memories.

A connected and supportive community

Being part of a community means cooperation, support, and respect for your neighbours. Throughout Tantramar, we value connection and inclusivity, and welcoming students as an integral part of our municipalities culture and identity.

So much to explore

Visit our gorgeous 55-acre Waterfowl Park or start your Saturday morning at the bustling Saturday morning Farmers’ Market, there’s always something to do in our community. Stop by movie night under the stars, enjoy an evening of live music, or take part in annual events like our beloved Fall Fair Festival. With unique local shops, beautiful trail systems, and an unbeatable small-town charm, Sackville and Tantramar have so much to offer.

The Mount Allison Students’ Union has a great website to look for off-campus housing options. You should also take a look at their Off-Campus Housing Handbook.
