Slow Art Study Break Chill, snack, linger with art Saturday 11 April 1:00-4:00 pm Owens Art Gallery  Make the Owens your chill zone for the afternoon and join us as we embrace everything slow and become the SL(OW)ENS just for the day. Coinciding with the end of classes and the beginning of exams, this Slow Art Day event is designed for Mount Allison students as an antidote to the pressures of the end of term. Stroll the galleries, lounge in a bean bag chair, dive into a special selection of zines about slowness and self-care, enjoy some low-key art making… and maybe even draw us a snail. We’ll have espresso, tea, and nostalgic comfort snacks. Come on your own or bring a friend and stay as long as you like.  Slow Art Day is a global initiative with a simple mission: Help more people discover for themselves the joy of looking at and loving art. Slow Art Study Break highlights the importance of art in wellbeing.  The Owens is open throughout the exam period. Stop by anytime for a quiet moment in our exhibitions or sink into one of our comfy chairs to browse our Teeny Tiny Zine Library. Sensory resources, including a variety of fidgets, are available to borrow during your visit. https://owensartgallery.com/owens/slow-art-study-break/
