The union of two long-time bitter rivals resulted in the only Maritime Women’s Softball Championship ever coming to Sackville. In 1934, the Town Girls and Middle Sackville Canadians forgot their differences, created one All-Star team and were unbeatable as they humbled Amherst Red Wings by scores of 9–3 and 28–20 to sweep the best of the three series in two games.
