    Team Category: Hockey
    Inducted April 26, 2003

It was almost 50 years ago today, when the Sackville Eagles captured the Central Hockey league Championship with a solid 5-1 victory over the Memramcook Rovers in the fifth and deciding game of the final playoffs. A total of 2459 fans paid to see the “pride and joy” of Tantramar cap an unbelievable season with this victory which earned them the right to move on to the provincial play downs where they advanced all the way to the Provincial Finals, losing in the end to the powerful Campbellton Tigers. It was the flair and grit of the Sackville Eagles that gave Sackville its first taste of Senior Hockey since prior to World War II.
