    1992 National Women’s Curling Team

    The team was a combination of Sackville and Moncton curlers, originally conceived by teammate Krista Smith and was together from 1989 to 1992 in various combinations from among the following athletes: Heather Smith-Dacey; Denise (Cormier) Nolan, Susie (LeBlanc) Leger; Lesley (Hicks) Brannen, and Krista (Smith) Bernard. Over that time, the girls played some 217 games and attended events on the Provincial, Regional, National and International curling scenes. Together the team won 3 NB championships, 2 Maritime Junior Women’s Titles, represented NB at the 1991 Canada Winter Games in Charlottetown, won the 1991 Canadian Junior Women’s Championship in Leduc, Alberta and placed fifth at the 1992 World Junior Curling Championships in Obersdorf, Germany.
