RE: Forest Fire at Brooklyn Rd (DNR Name “Brooklyn”)

At 13:33 hours today, Tantramar Fire Service was dispatched to a grass fire on Brooklyn Road in the community of Midgic. After arrival at scene, status was moved to a potential forest fire and mutual aid was initiated. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) was also immediately contacted and is now on scene with Tantramar Fire Services and other mutual aid partners.

At 15:52 hours this fire is listed as under control and 90% extinguished. There is no immediate danger to the public. Next update will come once the fire has been extinguished or there is more to publicly report.
