Jennifer George is generally considered to be the best and purest female athlete ever to come out of Sackville. As a High School Basketball player over 4 years, she led Tantramar Regional High School to three AA Championships and one AAA Provincial Crown and was named TRHS Female Athlete of the Year in 1982. Jennifer excelled in Basketball throughout her University career, accumulating many honours and awards including, AUAA First Team All-Star, UNB Rookie of the Year, AUAA MVP, CIAU First Team All-Star and CIAU National Tournament All-Star.
She led the University of New Brunswick Red Bloomers to back-to-back championships in the AUAA and was a leading member of the University of Manitoba Bisons who won the Great Plains Championship during her two years there and also captured the Canadian University Championship in 1988. Jennifer has been named the athlete of the year at every school she has attended.
