Robert (Bob) Cann has long been recognized as a key builder in Sackville for the sports of softball (fastball) and hockey. Whole generations of athletes have benefited from Bob’s commitment to strong teamwork and skill development. Several softball teams under his tutelage won New Brunswick and Maritime Championships including the men’s Sackville Goodwin’s Discounts and women’s Sackville Brunswick Pallet. Throughout the 70’s and 80’s, Bob lent his coaching expertise to successful teams in both minor and senior hockey, receiving the Haines Award in recognition for his dedicated and faithful service
