Sara Meldrum Youngner is recognized for her stellar career as an amateur golfer in New Brunswick, Canada and the United States. Sara is a 3-time NB Ladies’ Junior Champion, and a 3-time NB Ladies’ Amateur Champion. In 1994, Sara finished 3rd at the Canadian Junior Ladies’ Championships, leading New Brunswick to the province’s first and only national junior title. Sara played on 8 straight NB Ladies’ Amateur teams from 1995–2002 finishing 3rd or better at the Provincial Championships over the years. At the zenith of her career, Sara played in the US Amateur Ladies’ Championship in 1999, the US Mid-Amateur Ladies’ Championship in 2001 and the LPGA’s duMaurier Classic in 2000.
