The Municipality of Tantramar is proud to be a Wetland City through the Wetland City Accreditation program of the Convention on Wetlands (the Ramsar Convention), recognizing our community’s connection to wetlands and their importance for people and nature.

Finalists, voting, and prizes
On February 2, we will post five finalists in each category
Voting will be open until February 9
The winner in each category will receive:
A gift box of prizes from local businesses
Their photo featured in the 2026 to 2027 Visitor and Events Guide
World Wetlands Day Drop In
Stop by the Tantramar Visitor Information Centre on February 2, 2026, between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm for:
Peeps candies
Wetland themed treats
Wetland themed colouring pages
Hot chocolate provided by Café Tintamarre
A large rubber duck for the first 25 young people who arrive
