In the late 1960s Wayne began his volunteer work in hockey. Since then he has been a manager, organizer, timekeeper and “behind the scenes” jack-of-all-trades, in support of generations of young people pursuing their hockey dreams. Wayne is very dedicated and committed to work in all areas involving Sackville’s Minor Hockey program. His service to the hockey community has not gone unnoticed and he has received several awards honouring his efforts.
