Wynn Meldrum pioneered the development of the “Happy Hearts” Precision Skating Team in 1980. The team’s skaters developed under his coaching and by 1984 participated in the Canadian Championships in London, Ontario. His involvement and support of figure skating saw him recognized as New Brunswick’s Volunteer of the Year in 1989.  Wynn was also a builder of golf in New Brunswick for more than 30 years. An avid player, Wynn has been a committed golf volunteer, Administrator and Official, with the Sackville Golf and Country Club, the NBGA Board of Governors, and the Royal Canadian Golf Association’s Board of Governors.
