Proper disposal of household hazardous waste (HHW) is crucial for protecting our environment and community health. Residents of Tantramar have access to free and convenient options for disposing of HHW through Southeast Eco360.
What is household hazardous waste?
Household hazardous waste includes items such as:
- Paints, varnishes, and stains
- Solvents and thinners
- Pesticides and herbicides
- Cleaning agents
- Automotive fluids (e.g., oil, antifreeze)
- Batteries (household and automotive)
- Fluorescent light bulbs and tubes
- Propane tanks
Two disposal options
1) Eco360 HHW Depot
100 Enviro Drive, Berry Mills, NB
Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
HHW can be dropped off at the depot free of charge during operating hours.
2) Mobile Eco-Depot Program
Southeast Eco360 operates a Mobile Eco-Depot program that visits various communities, including Tantramar, on a rotating schedule. Residents can drop off HHW and other items at these events. Check the Eco360 website for upcoming dates and locations.
