Tantramar is proudly protected by dedicated volunteer firefighters who give their time, skill, and heart to keeping our communities safe. Tantramar has three fire stations, each staffed by caring firefighters who respond to emergencies year-round.

Fires and fireworks in Tantramar

To keep everyone safe, open fires and fireworks are not permitted within the Former Town of Sackville. However, small backyard fires in fully enclosed, CSA-approved outdoor wood-burning appliances are allowed. If you’re unsure about your setup, please contact the Fire Chief before lighting up. And before you burn, always check the province’s Forest Fire Watch to see if burning is permitted in your area.
