Bruce Phinney

Bruce I. Phinney is a member of the first council for the new entity of Tantramar and previously served as a councillor for the Town of Sackville. He was born in Sackville, New Brunswick. As part of a military family, he lived in Nova Scotia and Germany for three years before returning to New Brunswick in 1962. He spent most of his youth in Oromocto with his two younger sisters.

In 1977, Councillor Phinney moved back to Sackville and began a lifelong career in Facilities Management at Mount Allison University, retiring after 42.5 years of service. He holds a Marketing Diploma from NBCC and has completed a Commerce Degree at Mount Allison University.

Councillor Phinney is an active member of the Middle Sackville Baptist Church, and in his free time, he enjoys road trips around the Maritimes, watching Sidney Crosby play hockey, and connecting with people.
