Tori Weldon was born in Sackville and lived in Point de Bute until the age of 12, when her family moved to Calgary. She returned to Sackville in 2002 and, while she has left for educational purposes over the years, her home base has remained in Tantramar.
Tori is a journalist, communications professional and small business owner. After earning her journalism degree at Concordia Unviersity, she worked as a daily news reporter at CBC New Brunswick for 12 years, covering municipal politics, court and many other topics. She is currently a branded podcast producer. Outside of work, Tori loves spending time with family and friends, and is an avid cross-country skier, Silver Lake swimmer and basketball watcher and player. She enjoys Sackville’s music and art scenes and goes to openings and shows as often as possible.
As a councillor, Tori wants people in Tantramar to feel informed and engaged, and for Tantramar to grow in a smart, responsible way while providing access to affordable housing, jobs that pay the bills and a community where people feel welcome.
